News and Events

Be sure to check our blog for updates, too!
For the 2nd year therapist Laura Duncan is coming up with creative ideas to raise money for the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk for the Cure happening November 12th through 14th. While in training for the 3 day walk she will be doing chair massage for donations at Antigone Books.  Her first event was July 10th in conjunction with the monthly Second Saturday Down Town. She reported that donations were generous and people were surprised at how helpful just 10 minutes in the chair was. Her next chair massage opportunities at Antigone’s will be:
  • Sat. August 14 from 6 – 9 PM for Second Saturday Down Town
  • Sat. August 21 from 5 – 9 PM for 4th Avenue Beach Party

Right Touch Annual Summer Party

This was the best one yet! This year employees and their families joined together at La Paloma Resort. It has something for everyone: water volleyball, swim up bar, ping pong, waterfall, and a great water slide. There was a lot of laughing, relaxing, horsing around and just enjoying an opportunity to cool down and enjoy each others company. Thanks La Paloma for a wonderful experience!

Adult Education

at Sterling House Assisted Living Center

Sterling House Assisted Living Center contacted the Right Touch in July about having a representative from our office speak to their group on hot and cold stones. This active senior center has been studying geology and thought it would be an interesting segue to learn about the stones we use in our treatments.

Jon Lehman, a certified teacher and one of our therapists, gave a one hour talk to 22 of the residents. He covered the history of stone therapy and gave an interactive demonstration on the use of the stones on the body.

We want to thank Michelle at Sterling House for the opportunity to speak to the residents.

We’re Offering Classes!

Instruction in Basics

A  class is now being offered to the public at our office. Students are given one-on- one tutoring by the  owner, Kathy Rinn. Kathy received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Arizona University and has 20 years teaching experience at the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts.

This class is designed for those that have an interest in learning some of the fundamental strokes to safely and effectively work on friends and family members. No prior experience is necessary.

The 2 hour class may be taken by couples or individuals and will take place on an evening that is convenient for you. The cost is $50. This also makes a unique gift for someone you know that already shows some talent in massage.
